The 81st A. Millard George Tournament brought our bowling community together this past Saturday for what turned out to be a brief but memorable event. We were delighted to welcome 42 enthusiastic bowlers to our first tournament of the year.

Debbie Pettit, representing our generous sponsor, kicked off the day with warm words of welcome that set a friendly tone for the competition. The atmosphere was lively as teams took to the lanes, showcasing their skills and competitive spirit.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans. The weather took a sudden turn around lunchtime, forcing us to call the tournament after just one game. Despite this disappointment, seven teams managed to secure wins in their opening matches, earning them places in the prize money.

Congratulations to our winners: Dan, Anne, and Fred claimed first place, followed by Mitch, Arlene, and Connor in second, and Sandra, Magnus, and Vince in third. Denis, Mike, and Judy secured fourth place, with Jack, Steve, and Sue in fifth, Bruce, Kim, and Sheila in sixth, and Doug, May, and Dave rounding out the winners in seventh place.
