The Elmwood Lawn Bowling Club is a member-based organization. Dues-paying members have access to all events and amenities that the club offers, from bowling in draw games and tournaments to attending socials. The ELBC is a community within a community.

Experienced Bowlers

If you are an experienced lawn bowler or returning Member, you simply need to complete a membership form and OLBA Waiver. (See PDFs below. Please print double sided.) If you are unable to print this at home, you can pick one up at the club. Complete the application and waiver and deliver with payment to the club when open, or the mailbox in the laneway when closed. DO NOT LEAVE CASH IN THE MAILBOX.

New to Bowling

The first step toward gaining Membership is to sign up for Learn to Bowl. Once you have completed your Learn to Bowl coaching and determined that you are physically able, you can get an application to join the club from your coach or from this website.

Learn to Bowl

Member Benefits

  • You will receive a name badge.

  • You will receive a membership packet of information.

  • You will get a draw-game-board name chip.

  • You will receive the monthly newsletter Hoglines.

  • You can participate in any and all of the club’s activities.

  • You can come to the green and practice on your own.

  • You will have use of club bowls for a nominal fee of $1/per play until you are ready to purchase your own.

Membership Types

  • Full membership entitles you to participate in all club activities.

  • Student membership is for full-time students 19 years or older.

  • Junior membership is for 8-18 years.

  • Social Membership with Indoor bowling entitles member to indoor bowling with all regular benefits from October through April.

  • Social membership, or non-bowling membership, entitles the member to all regular benefits except bowling.

Membership Dues

  • New member:   $200 payable on joining. There are reduced fees for new members who join in the second half of the season.

  • Renewing membership:   $200 a year payable on May 1st each year.

  • Student membership:   $55 a year. (full time student 19+ years.)

  • Junior membership:   $40 a year. (8-18 years)

  • Social membership with Indoor bowling:   $100 a year (October through April)

  • Social membership/no bowling:   $25 a year.
