Under beautiful sunny skies, our club recently hosted a spectacular Canada Day Tournament that brought together 52 enthusiastic bowlers for a day of friendly competition and camaraderie.

The tournament showcased impressive talent across various categories. In the main competition, Doug Sheldrick, Mary Taylor, and Bill Hayward claimed first place honors, with Bill Watten, Jackie Oliver, and Sandra Arner securing second place. Jim McLachlan, Arlene McCallum, and Hammond Gonsalves rounded out the podium in third, while Scott Fisher, Gerry Admens, and Fran Gray finished fourth.

In the pairs competition, congratulations go to Dan and Sheila O’Connell, Eric Hinton and Dale Howlett, Paul Yorke and Brian O’Leary, and John Conlon and Sue McMurray for their outstanding performances.

A special mention goes to Hammond Gonsalves, who not only performed well on the green but also took home the Best Dressed award.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Kim and Carolyn for their excellent organizational skills that made this event possible, and to Kathie and Peter Coutts for providing a delicious pizza lunch.
